I absolutely love Yankee Candles, and this one is no exception! The scent is incredible—it’s strong enough to fill the entire room without being overpowering. I think the Yankee Candle Large Lemon Lavender Jar Candle is a good deal at $0.64 per ounce. The lemon and lavender scent is relaxing, and the candle is well-made with a uniform construction. It has a long burn time and burns most of the wax which can be a issues sometimes.
The candle uses paraffin wax, which creates some soot, but this keeps the cost low. If you want a lot of candle for your money, buy this when it’s under $0.70 per ounce and consider getting a few. Overall, it’s a good value for a long-lasting, nice-smelling candle, but you will get more smoke than with a more expensive wax like soy or beeswax; however, those ingredients force the price to be much higher. You are getting a decent scent and a very well made glass jar and lots of burn time, so much that you don’t really have to wonder if it is a good deal, it is when the price is $17 or less. With inflation that is going to go up pretty fast but as of Sept 2024 it is an excellent price.

I like the brand but have discovered that if you buy the less expensive ones on their amazon storefront you don’t know what you’re getting. This one smells like straight up old school Flinstone vitamins or orange PEZ candies. More so PEZ. It’s not terrible it’s just funny. I was thinking after the description it was going to be a bit herby but there is no lavender in the scent profile whatsoever. I keep this in the living room in a flameless candle lamp. I paid $13 for it and it’s decently strong so I’ll keep it.

Before I lit this, the scent was really strong and I was looking forward to lighting it. Unfortunately once lit there was practically no scent off the candle unless you stood really close to it. It looks the part and like I said it smells lovely before it is lit but don’t expect it to be as strong as some of the other more famous scents like Midsummers Night because it isn’t. Shame.

I have recently been stocking up on my candles because I tend to burn through them way too often… I have been loving The Sage & Citrus yankee. The unique blend of earthy sage, luxurious talc, and refreshing lemon-lime creates a natural harmony that fills my home with a calming atmosphere. The overall throw of this scented candle is well disbursed so it can fill a room within minutes. But I am the type to rotate between scents and keep things interesting. I was able to find the perfect pair for the yankee candle that blends the aroma together and almost elevates the scents when they are burnt in rotation. The Melto Black Pepper candle is literally the cousin to my sage and citrus candle. They have a soy and coconut blend of wax that burns very even – not only does soy wax burn cleaner and longer than traditional paraffin wax, but it’s also a sustainable choice (helping the environment is a win for me). They also come in the cutest boxes which makes them the perfect gift for any event. I have already gifted 2 sets to friends and they love it. Rotating between the Yankee Candle and the Melto candle during burning sessions keeps the scent fresh and inviting, ensuring that my home always smells wonderful. The balance of scents from these two candles were honestly made for each other, making them an essential part of my home fragrance routine! Hope this helps others find new candle pairings!
