These are awesome clips for Christmas lights. Because they’re clear you can leave them up year round, even indoors. They’re also good for clipping the edges of curtains to the wall. I was disappointed to not find these clips in stores, but Amazon delivered them quickly.

I bought and installed a couple packs of these in November of 2023. It’s now November of 2024 and I’m thrilled to say that every single clip is still very well adhered to the vinyl window trim I put them on. This allowed me to quickly install our outdoor Christmas lights. I honestly don’t think people bothered to read the directions and then they posted a negative review when the clips immediately fell off. Anyway, if you first CLEAN THE SURFACE WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL, your clips will stay put. I love these because they’re clear and aren’t super conspicuous on the white trim! They easily hold the weight of the light strands. I would definitely purchase these again.

I have always loved Command Strips and use them for everything. However, I’m not sure if they’ve recently changed the formula or what, but the last 3 or 4 times I’ve purchased them I’ve had several in each package just not be sticky at all. In this instance, I kept having the same problem in the same spot, and as you can see from the photo, I was NOT hanging anything even remotely heavy with them. It turned out that because I was hanging something in an above the fireplace alcove, it was slightly warm and humid in the space and they just REFUSED to stick. I eventually used a fan as I applied them to those spots and it did the trick. But I have been using them in this part of the country for the last 7 years and never had this problem until recently, no matter the weather (I haven’t even TRIED using them outside yet), so I really do feel like the quality of the product has just gone down. Sadly I think I will be trying an off-brand next time.

I used these light clips to hold wires from small solar panels to my security cameras. Previously, I used Blu Tack which just looked, well, tacky on the ceiling. These light clips are a much nicer solution. If they made a slightly smaller version that would’ve been better. They holdy strongly as well, just follow the simple instructions.

These Command hooks are perfect for outdoor lighting, as they are long lasting, waterproof, and damage free. I have these on metal banisters which endure high sunlight, high winds, and heavy rains. The hooks are holding up a strand of outdoor lights and they fit the material perfectly. It is easy to switch out sets of lights as well – transitioning from summer outdoor lights to the traditional Christmas lights in the winter. It’s been months since I initially put these up and they have stayed on super securely. The hooks are easy to install, using the same Command hook technology as their original product. The funny part is I accidentally put the hooks upside down and they still work perfectly. Could not recommend more for a hassle free outdoor hook.
