What kid doesn’t love magic tricks? My 11-year-old grandson will really enjoy this set at Christmas time. He was given a regular National Geographic Magic Set a couple of years ago and some of these tricks will probably be duplicates, but I know that won’t deter him from enjoying them again, one day at a time. I also like the way the front cover of this calendar opens up via a velcro-like closure to keep the set neat.
This is a nice colorful advent calendar that is sure to be fun!

Order this for my son for Christmas time. He loves magic so this will be a great advent calendar for him. I did pull it out and look at what came with it and it seems to be decent quality. It’s not super high on stuff, but I know my kids gonna enjoy it and I feel for the price it’s worth it. He’s just gonna be super excited when he gets to open this

This is one surprisingly excellent calendar. The toys are great quality and there is a magic trick guidebook to go with it. My grandson opened just a few doors and was loving it. Nothing cheap in this!

This National Geographic Magic Advent Calendar is going to be so much fun to experience with my grand kid. He absolutely loves advent calendars, and he is really into science experiments currently. The calendar contains 18 magic tricks and 9 “magical” science experiments. Everything about it is quality, as I have come to expect from Nat Geo kids toys.
This kit opens book-like with Velcro clasps to hold it closed when not in use. The kit opens to the advent calendar, with the spaces for each day numbered, perforated, and with tabs for easy opening. In the pocket on the inside cover, there’s a guide that walks you through the tricks and experiments, day by day. There’s also a QR code on every page that links to instructional videos for the magic tricks. The guidebook is also sprinkled with fun facts related to the tricks featured.
Some of these tricks and experiments might be a little too advanced for my grand kid to figure out on his own (he is only six), but they will provide opportunities for some fun quality time with us and his parents. Also, because this calendar is not specifically Christmas themed, it can be enjoyed universally by kids who celebrate other holidays or to enjoy during different months of the year. For example, I could see saving this for the drearier months of deep winter or to provide some daily novelty during summer break. It could even be a fun count down calendar to a birthday. I appreciate the versatility that this kit provides in this respect.
I have never once been disappointed by a National Geographic product, and this Magic Tricks Countdown Calendar lives up to my high expectations for this brand. Fun and educational, this is sure to delight any kid who is into science and loves magic.

This is a fun little advent calendar, especially because the theme is something different. You get to learn various magic tricks along the way. Can’t wait to try it.
