I purchased the 5 x 8 black rug about almost a month ago. It arrived super fast, vacuum sealed in a tiny square. Soon as I popped open the plastic, it instantly fluffed out inside the bag. Once I pulled it out and opened it up there was no problem setting it into place. There was absolutely NO funny smell that other reviews went on and on about. Only thing that it smelled like was, BRAND SPANKING NEW!!! That’s like complaining about a new car smell, or the smell of brand new shoes…like huh, really? How is that a bad thing.? To each his own I guess.
In the pic you can see the rug lays perfectly flat on the floor. There was no weird lines or creases from it being folded and sealed up. In my case, I opened the package soon as it arrived. I’m guessing the longer you wait to open it, the higher the risk of creases, and or a funky smell. That’s just my common sense though, everyone works at their own pace. Anyway, the rug is quite large…I bought it like that on purpose as to cover as much of the carpet underneath as possible and still be able to walk around it. I simply tucked the rest of it under the couch as you can see in the pic.
The rug itself is SUPER soft and feels amazing on your feets. I have a “no shoes on the rug” rule now, but I live alone so that’s easy to enforce. In regard to upkeep, the rug does attract dirt easy, but it’s easy to spot and or feel it under your feet…like a twig or a crumb of something you can simply just pull off the rug. When I do eventually vacuum the rug, it will be easy since one half is already being held own by the couches, the other half I have weights I can put on the corners. Easy call.
In closing: this rug is certainly worth the little price being asked. It’s a rug people, don’t expect it to sing and dance for you or not get dirty. It will stay as fresh and clean as long as you take care of it. It does have a bit a slippery feel when you first get it set up. That will eventually go away with time. And it seems to get fluffier after a few days, out the bag it can appear a little flat. Just give it sometime….or simply run your feet back and forth over it a few times to the fibers standing up in different directions.
If you’re not sure…just bite the bullet and BUY this rug. Simply put, it will make your room and your life….better.
I’m extremely satisfied with mine, you will be too. Unless you’re the type of person that complains about,
“new smell”.

This cute pink rug is perfect for my girls play area. It is very soft , not too thick or thin. The material is fluffy. You could literally run your toes through it . The rug is safe and slip resistant. My kids run all over this thing sock free! It’s easy to open and lays flat seconds later !!

So I have 2 of these rugs now because I bought one and was so pleased with it that I scooped up another one when I saw it was on sale. First I bought the light purple gray, I love the color and and also love that the backing is cushioned, unlike most rugs. The second one I got was light pink, love this color also. This makes it very soft and pleasing to sit on. I bought the 4′ x. 6′ size for both, which is large enough to cover my sofa and put on my bed to protect both from my big dog.
I had bought a sofa cover that was quilted cloth, but that was torn up in about a week. These rugs really hold up well, AND they also don’t shed their shag.
I bought a shag rug on sale from WalMart and have retired it already, as it lacked the soft cushy feel that these have, AND it shed all over the place – could not stand up to big or little dog. I had to pull pieces of shag from that rug from their toenails, it was not good. But these rugs, no problem, they really hold up. I have no idea how I will clean them when the time comes as they won’t fit in the washer, but thus far they are fine.
They did stink up a storm when first unwrapped, but I think that can’t be helped with something that’s been shrink wrapped and stored for a while. I hung them outside and beat them a little and that helped dissipate the smell, but it really took about 3 days or so for the smell to dissipate fully. You might want to unwrap them outside if you have a small or not well ventilated space.
All in all I give these five stars, they are soft, cushy, comfy, do not shed, and totally hold up well to my big dog the destroyer of all nice things. I am planning to buy more of these rugs to cover another sofa and a giant 4′ x 6′ pillow seat that I bought for myself to young on in the home office when I need a break, but which has somehow turned into big dog’s office bed lol.
Oh and they do a great job of protecting the furniture from his drool as well as his teeth and toenails.

I bought two of these 2×6 gray runners to use on each side of my king sized bed. I should have known how cheaply made these were for the price. It’s too much trouble to send them back, so I’m keeping them.
These are flimsy and I am pretty sure they won’t make it through one laundry cycle. No way I’m hand washing these rugs, but that’s what the instructions suggested.
They are soft, yes. But pretty thin, and the backing is almost like a flexible Styrofoam and I can’t imagine I’ll get much use out of them before they disintegrate.
The odor wasn’t as bad s expected, and they do stay in place on my hardwoods, so the non slip material seems to be doing its job.
I would not buy these rugs again.
Update 10/09/2023 after having these two rugs for several months: They have not worn well. I’ve washed them a few times and they look worse and worse every time. They are flat and have the texture of shag carpet that’s been in a home for the past 50 years.

It’s very soft, lays flat, but has no ground adhesion and is light so it slides around. That said, it’s nearly impossible to clean with any level of ease due to the simple fact that it is a shag rug. For that reason, it can degrade in softness semi-permanently unless you go at it with a wet vac.

This rug is soft and looks great in my kids room. It smelled when opened and needed to be air out outside for 2 days. Love that it has grips on bottom but will need to add under rug mat to make it more cushioned.
