I switched all purchases to the Amex card this year after paying off other cards. One card for everything. I didn’t realize how much I was earning until placing an order recently and it was more than I wanted to spend at the moment. Then I saw the option of applying rewards which I had accumulated more than 50% of the bill! Yes!! Order placed and money saved!

I loaded up completely, another credit card / promotion / 0% interest for 12 months. Am X lowered my available credit limit, LOWERED my credit limit, because they FELT I may be becoming a risk / since I had one of my cards completely loaded. Am X actions in turn, lowered my score on my credit report, so then, two other Am X cards, did the same thing, which further lowered my score, over nothing. be aware, u will b watched, like a hawk. my payment performance IS perfect / 100% on time. This is CRAP. No other cards took any action, and I have 12; all with a $0 balance. Only AM X, over reacted.

The card is awesome! We use this credit card every day for office expenses. The cash back is second to none. Also like that I can easily apply to reward to futures pitches right within the App. Great credit card for my business.

While the Amazon promotion was nice, American Express Customer Service should close shops. I set up auto-pay upon credit card approval, but for some internal security reason at AMEX, the autopay was declined when it was time to execute it; I then made manual pay online, which was also declined a few days later for the same reason; then I put both American Express agent and my bank’s agent on a 3-way call to rectify the situation, and the AMEX agent was able to successfully set up and execute the autopay, and I was promised during that call that there won’t be any returned payment fee by AMEX due to the two declines. Then AMEX ended up charging me a returned payment fee of $35 and interest charges of ~$20. Despite explaining the situation twice to AMEX, they refused to refund these charges. I then closed the account in protest.

I have had this card now for more than a few years and I feel its been a nice addition to my reward cards overall. I have a general card with cash rewards I use for day to day usage but when it comes to amazon purchases I use this card. I was hesitant at first as I worried if I had any issues with a purchase that I would not be given fair consideration but I can say now that over about 5 years and having maybe 2 issues that each time I feel the dispute process was fair and I had equal say in the issue with this card as I would have had with any AMEX cards I have currently. What’s nice on this card is the 5% bonus for amazon purchases as I use subscribe and save a bit and before you know it I have almost 500USD in rewards dollars after about 8 months, this is a nice little bit of money to use as the holidays come.
