This was a gift for my daughters 12th birthday and she LOVES it! It is so cute, it’s adorable on her bedside table. The way it works is so smooth and it charges up so you don’t have to have it plugged in. Very great gift, fun to use and happy kid. She just got it yesterday and charged it up while she was at school so I can’t comment on how long it stays charged but will update post if necessary.

This is the third “chicky” we’ve had and my daughter is eight and the first one was purchased when she was a baby. She uses it to read in bed now and when the last one broke I offered to get her something else and she wanted the same one. It holds a charge for several days using it for 30 or so minutes at night. That’s if you leave it unplugged. It’s easy to use. She can make it brighter or dimmer herself and turn it on and off and she has been able to for years. It falls out of bed all the time and is really pretty durable, but like anything else it’s not going to last forever. The last one wouldn’t turn off anymore so we replaced it.
