We are not using it as an alarm clock, so this review isn’t about that feature. Here’s what we love:
– Backup batteries are AAA! Cheap and easy to replace. NOT 9Volt which our old clock had which are a pain to install and expensive to replace.
– Numbers are a great size; can be read across the room.
– Adjustable brightness is wonderful!! Doesn’t light up the room, but easy to read. We have ours set at 2.
– White instructions on black on the back of the clock. GENIUS, must have been designed by someone over 40!
– Easy to follow instructions; easy to set.
– So far, the perfect clock for the living room. (We cut the cable years ago so no cable box with a clock)

This Peakeep clock replaces a similar-sized red LED clock that lived by our TV. Compared to the old clock, the numbers on this one seem crisp and clear, versus kind of red and fuzzy. The new display is blue, but it’s a pleasant light blue, not the kind of hyper blue LED that makes you want to put on welding goggles.
The new clock has five brightness levels, plus “off”. Brightness level 2 seems to work well, staying visible in direct sun without being too bright in the evening. Level 2 is still pretty bright when the room is dark, however. Level 5 is way bright.
The Peakeep clock is easy to adjust, with eight buttons in a row across the back. Lettering on the back explains how to use the controls, so you really don’t need any instructions. The lettering is white on black, and easy to read. There are plus and minus buttons for adjusting the time or the alarm, so its’ easy to get to the right time.
We don’t use the alarm feature, but one drawback is the “off” button for the alarm is one of those eight buttons, and it’s the same size and round shape as the others. While the brightness button is on the left end of the buttons, the alarm button is third from the right. I guess you’d get used to it. There’s also a “snooze” bar across the top. The “off” button at the right end of the snooze bar, probably easy to find with a little practice.
The new clock is a featherweight compared to the old red LED clock. The old clock was getting kind of ancient, and had an internal transformer, so just a power cord, no “wall wart”. The Peakeep clock has a wall wart power supply, eliminating the heavy transformer, and also using less juice.
The old clock had a front panel with number keys, so you could just type in the exact time you wanted. All the controls were in front, with the panel being angled like a keyboard below the display. Seems cool, but it was not too intuitive how to enter “set” mode, so it usually took trial and error to set the time. I didn’t see anything similar when I searched for the new clock. The row of buttons doesn’t seem too bad by comparison.
We’d purchased a couple of small analog battery-powered clocks bearing the Peakeep brand before, they’ve held up well. We’ll keep our fingers crossed, but so far this new one is exceeding expectations.

This clock was exactly what we wanted. Large and easy to see numbers. We like to look at it from the bathroom to check the time while preparing for work and it is perfect for that task. Being able to adjust the brightness is a great feature.
The clock is very lightweight and feels a bit like a mid tier regarding quality of the materials. The usb port on the back of the clock is a bit wonky and works occasionally.
Overall, a solid buy for a simple alarm clock.

I love that I can control the brightness of the display, it’s not glaring when we want to sleep and bright to view during the day. The battery backup works when our power goes out. The clock is compact and attractive. This is exactly what I wanted.

Of this style, black case with large, thin numerals I first bought the most popular selling version. Ugh, wadda poorly designed bit of programing and ergonomics that piece of mediocrity was… this, is everything I expected, finally. It was worth abandoning the first. Which I might add, occasionally simply did not sound the alarm as set. Nothing, nada, does not work in my book. I needed and received with this one a truly annoying, loud alarm that does its job- everyday. Plus, while I prefer to keep the readout at low levels, this one can go quite bright, too. So between ease of setup, usage, for me, it gets two thumbs up.

Easiest clock I’ve set up in years. Works like a charm. Has 5 vol. levels, 5 brightness levels, battery backup and usb charger. Rarely use an alarm but bought this one as I need an alarm that is easy to set, and works well, once in a blue moon. Tried this one out different times, for a few days. Easy to shut the alarm off and to change.
Couldn’t be happier with this product. Easy on the budget too.

I have purchased 3 of these clocks. One for each bedroom. As a senior the numbers are large and so easy to see at a distance. Awesome quality, they would look great in any room. Easy to set up and clear instructions on how to set the time. Totally love my clocks.
The cord is 4 foot 3 inches long which equals 51 total inches. Plenty long enough for my use.
