I swear our cats purposely started their zoomies on our hallway rug. It would bunch up behind them like they were in a cartoon! Plus, when we’d try to vacuum the rug, it wouldn’t stay still even with a mat.
We live in an apartment with faux wood floors so this product sticks really well. The rug has not moved AT ALL since installing these sticky pads. I even got a “running” start to try and get the rug to slide – nothing. I highly recommend this product if you need to keep something in place.
The directions are laid out pretty well via diagram on the packaging and I definitely suggest following the diagram.
One thing I can’t speak to is what the consequences of this high performance will be for the flooring. The packaging says there will be no damage, so I’m hoping that’s the case! However, please take note that they do tell you the pads are not meant to come off of the rug.
*Update*
About six months later we unexpectedly had to move. As you can see from the picture, there was no damage to the floor when we pulled it up. The rug has now been restuck to the new floor and is holding all the same.

These go on easily and really do stick to the floor and are re-stickable. But the sticky side that actually sticks to the rug side tended to come off when pulling up the rug.

These are two sided sticky tape and the rugs do not move. I have dogs running all over the house and these keep the rugs in place. Love them.

They are very sticky and stuck well on my rug at first. I’ve pulled the rug up twice since then to spray it down because my dog decided to puke on it twice and not the laminate floor. So after pulling it up about 2 times it looses all the stickness
