    I bought this clock over 6 months ago. I put in new batteries and it kept perfect time for a little more than a month. It started consistently loosing time every time I reset it. I tried a battery that’s supposed to be best for clocks. The same thing happened. I thought maybe that battery was old so I put a brand new one in…same story. I last reset this clock on November 3, switching to standard time. It kept good time for a day or two. Today is November 17, it is 20 minutes slow.

    I’m going buy a different clock made by a different company.

    We have a wall on our lanai that we could see when we were sitting in the house. When our old clock died I thought no need to replace. WRONG! Kept looking there for the time. This clock filled the purpose!

    This clock came right on time (no pun intended!) and worked out perfectly. I had tried replacing my $8 wall clock from the drug store I’d had for 12 years with the same thing from the same place – no luck. After two duds from the drug store which didn’t survive 24 hours, I found this on Amazon. Although twice the price of my original, I wasn’t too confident. I was pleasantly surprised. Has worked perfectly – accurate to iPhone standards and the sweep second hand means it’s perfectly silent. Clean lines and very easy to read up high. Hopefully I get a decade of service out of this one too.

    UPDATE: I was eventually able to pop the clear cover off and the paper laid flat on its own. The tab is a little damaged but it works fine now. I bumped the stars up to four and not five because it works like it should, but it shouldn’t have been shipped with a bent clock face.

    This clock came with its paper insert that has the numbers printed on it bent inside the clock. I didn’t think it’d be a problem as it passed over initially ok so I hung it. I bought it for a church classroom and for that reason I wasn’t looking at it all the time but once a week. I noticed it kept slowing down and then after a month I changed the batteries, then did it again. I replaced the batteries three times before giving up and buying a different clock. I realized after looking closer it wasn’t stopping due to the battery, but due to the paper insert. I took a good look at it today to see if I could salvage it and noticed the paper insert was the only problem as the minute hand can’t get over the bump in the paper and I can’t get the face off to fix it. I lost money on it as it says I can’t return it anymore. It’s a good clock if the paper isn’t bent. Very quiet.
